What Does Discobolus Reveal About Greek Value

2001/Tim Berne and the Copenhagen Art Ensemble with Herb Robertson and Marc Ducret/"Open, Coma"

Tim Berne and a group of talented musicians dropped a huge anvil of new jazz infected with features of contemporary music in this double CD of name Open, Coma. Apart from the typical jam with fixed rates, this large ensemble ventures to create an ambitious album with long instrumental developments, with enough momentum to discuss transitions between the freedom of free and structured academic and contemporary music. Moments of reflection and calm, prepared textures, atmospheres abstract individual Improvs discovered in a hard disk, thick, and that reminds me of Muhal Richard in their experimental stages, where the language of music does a complete turnabout.

2006/Big Satan/"Live In Cognito"

L E virtuous trio Big Satan up are advanced modern jazz artists: guitarist Marc Ducret , saxophonist Tim Berne and drummer Tom Rainey . The live material collected in Live In Cognito and released as double CD is an experience where the performers, on the one hand, exploit the possibilities of their instruments and, secondly, explore a variety of textures. Nourished
both the classical and jazz tradition with modern improvisations, stand sax solos but also achieves moments of complex atonal guitar while alternating between rhythmic moments and techniques jazz rock. The opening that gives the battery to start the concert, and later alone, equally surprised by the large handle on the instrument. No less important is the fact that the trio injected a fluent jams know quite durable conserve energy and vitality.
Fortunately for listeners of Berne and Ducret, more material will be published this duo soon.

How Much Data Is 1mb On A Mobile

Caroline Knopf, photo

A woman
horror music and me inadvertently invented death
I hiding in the ink on the back on the walls

look tired without his name
and thrown to dust hard to recover

dust of a city that does not exist without their

bones are the bones of

time a woman has forbidden me the craving to be me has broken

soul to the gaze from the bridges have fallen ashes of the hungry hungry

the said will spread the blame in the shadow
and I could not get old between her thighs did not catch her navel
my hands

afternoon did not save us

of the untouchable and nothing
not get a woman dreamed forbidden
still stuck in my kidneys

'm just crash and burn like a

this poem is nothing but a pretext to keep her

aside in a corner are waiting
my lips raw.

Women Leather Mistress

2009/Tyft/"Smell The Difference"

In the second release of the trio are talented and promising progressive metal elements themselves, though still dominated by irregular structures inherited from the RIO and brilliant saxophone solos. On this album they get a more technically sound in some tracks where each instrument is changing the timing of an amazing way. However, the complexity embedded in this latest release is of the same proportions as in the first, which is why it is difficult to make a decision about which is better. The recommendation is to listen to both jobs, because none of them lacking the virtuosity of the musicians and her proposal stays fresh and hard throughout both discs.

2006/Tyft/"Meg Nem Sa"

Although as such, Tyft is a new group, its members and have several years as musicians.
Icelandic guitarist Hilmar Jensson
gathers Andrew D'Angelo and Jim Black to throw a reinvention of jazz with saxophone improvisations serious (the best kind), guitars alternating between octaves and guitar, bass, and not least, irregular meters. The trio explores with a grace and fluidity arranged a RIO jazz, which occasionally also greet a subtype of progressive metal, although this is thanks to the guitar.
And beyond the quasi-jazz experiment, we have some distorted guitar playing and some electronic medium collides perfectly with the daring proposal of the trio. In my opinion, an ambitious project that can give more, and so far have managed to bring great creative range and virtuosity.

2003/LeBocal/"Oh No!, Just Another Frank Zappa Memorial Barbecue"

In two respects, the music of Frank Zappa transcended. First, because his work has attracted the attention of ensembles around the world and even different genera. Second, in his discography is divided opinions and records that are subject to serious debate. Given this situation, there has never been much consensus about what is their best album and what the worst. Rather, what is often talk about is what are the essential works needed to meet an overview of his career.
LeBocal is a French ensemble with acoustic system, electric and voices, paying tribute to guitarist superb Baltimore, and that among other things calls attention because in the credits of this album is nothing less than the saxophonist Guillamue Perret of the vast and promising Electric Epic!
Now, what matters, "these Frenchmen do justice to the music of Zappa?
Yes, on the one hand, they are real virtuosos: the instrumental piano Oh No! speaks quite well of them, and not least, the timing and harmony in The Grand Wazoo is something you hear perfected. Other glorious moments like the guitar solo in King Kong (solísimo) or the horn section in Blessed Relief are other qualities of this tribute.

1995/Riccardo Fassi Tankio Band/"Plays The Music Of Frank Zappa"

Today we commemorate the 70th anniversary of the birth of Frank Vincent Zappa with two interesting tributes., Starting with East Riccardo Tanki Fassi Band.
public not original works of this genius because I simply can not select the best among so very good material in his repertoire. It would also be very difficult to make this choice without resorting to subjectivity. On the other hand, I do want to pay tribute to this great icon of good music, so we go with the first tribute of the day: big band Riccardo Fassi Tankian.
Although most of the disk is full of hardworking jazz arrangements and incredible saxophone solos, this great big ensemble pollutes their music with some doses of the twentieth century classical music. And this is found in Medley tracks as and Igor's Boogie, which makes it all a great proposal. Likewise, Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbecue retains the rarity of keyboards and synthesizers zappiana version. But in my opinion the decisive part of the tribute master's reach with his own interpretation of Peaches En Regalia , which also compose a different intro, do not forget the typical jamming but they add a section to the use of accordion , inserting a change away from tracing the original theme. So enjoy this fine tribute, and in addition will add the link to read an article El Universal newspaper on this 70 th anniversary. Read

No Sew Fleece Tie Scarfs

Pretext is my time off ...

Paul Freeman

  is my time off
between love and despair.
Every day, the memory

smaller and look more aware of the sea, I attend
gangrene of this house that I die

where yesterday we used candles
interbreed beef.

no longer pray,
not correct the curl of the lip is the soul,
not surprise me if the left hand side
crazy wherever pigeons decline.
Everything is done:
from dying
to pack your suit so much stillness
complains of neck.
all comes down my back
as river into the dark side, and left alone

old age without your shoes,
without the smell of salt in your armpits,
dying without your coat on the rack.
left alone, as a woman
photography,
hair parted well designed,
the bodice facing the time-sepia
and eyelids,
and mouth, sore
music sing away.

The speed of the clouds

The bed, the window near the valley, the sky,

The splendid fast those clouds,
The sudden rain claw at the windows
As if nothing initialed the world.

In my dream of yesterday
grain from other years burned to a simmer,
No heat in the tiled floor.
Descalzos, which parted us like a clear water.

Oh my friend,
do so weak distance separating our bodies!
The blade of the sword of time lurking
there would have instead sought in vain to win!

Yves Bonnefoy, translated by Carlos Miguel Angel House and Front.

ever (very occasionally) I dreamed W. was gone. That all this time, until yesterday (but not today, day vague, cloudy, no rain) was expected. The worst happened.

There are times to speak, moments in which one could explain something. The clouds move fast: the month of April, they did not today. I say once sometimes dream that you're not. (And I regret very much) But it said.

2010/LeanLeft/"TheExGuitarsmeet Nilssen-Love/Vandermark Duo Vol.1 & Vol.2"

2010 is a year that has not yet finished, nor the discovery of music that has been produced there. Ken Vandermark is an old acquaintance of free jazz and modern The Ex are some veterans of the punk anarchy in the Netherlands. The supergroup that conforms to these individuals results Lean Left, who had the luxury of this pair of volumes record live improvisations and wild with ferocious movements. Últimanente
had been listening to a 10-CD box set Ken Vandermark Resonance Ensemble, but most of those sessions left me unsatisfied. So expect little skeptical Lean Left, but my expectations were exceeded since I heard the first notes from the Vandermark's sax. And is that guitar duo also play a substantial, not only add to the Improvs but twisted in a monstrous, besides being slightly distorted.
The randomness and the few moments of rest in music, plus the ability to maintain the improvisational madness for so many minutes, enhances the professionalism of the supergroup and spontaneity that gives gender requires the free. There are certain records John Zorn and Peter Brötzmann that generate a similar experience of Lean Left, so feel fully confident to hear that people are already accustomed to this type of jazz war, unusual and distorted.

How Long To Wait To Shave After Waxing

Cain hate

I really liked this book, Cain, Jose Saramago . I've read almost in one sitting, it is very short, and is very well written (but the latter is a truism.)

guess it's partly because I know well the stories of the old testament had a small collection of picture books I read over and over time: called Bible children. And because terror has always given me turning into a pillar of salt. Yes, the story of Lot's wife who turns to see how burned Sodom and Gomorrah - "do not look back," says God - and so without more, it becomes salt. He did not say they might do something bad, just not look.

What happens if you turn into salt? You die, I guess. But what if you die? And if you get there, standing, watching everyone else leave, unable to move or speak, or say goodbye. At the end I guess you get rid, when it rains, so I thought while reading The Bible children. "Would hurt much disintegrate in the rain? In the desert, it never rains, said to me, but that only prolonged the sentence, may not feel anything, perhaps only remained bound to watch. It's a terrible story, anyway, especially because a lot when this happens, give a damn. He goes on, so richly. And I was sure, come on, convencidísima, that could not avoid looking back and looking ...

If you thought, once, something like to meet you the Old Testament, read this book. Saramago said that he wrote with the intention of "disquiet" . For me, however, has meant reading a great relief.

In nature
there is nothing melancholy. happens
an old tramp heart
injured the memory of a penalty
or vague discomfort or love that was not -
filled all things of itself
and made the sound of forests

Hey how you love tigers ...

Pal Fried, (American / Hungarian, 1893-1976)

Hey how
love tigers and the forest is filled with deep gasps and breaks
night with fierce lightning.
See how the stars revolve in eternal
dance of harmony and silence fills with whispers
vegetables.
smell the thick trees dripping with honey, milk
leaves exude dark.
The entire universe is twisted and twisted to mating in infinite
secret. Wise
interlocking geometries
candy forms of unwelcome snakes snails.
In the sea there is a siren song.
Touch my skin, you
shaking and exposed to the spines,
before the rhythm of my blood street
before returning to water and land.

2008/ZAO/"Ethnic 3" [Live]

few months ago I published as a compilation disc exclusive footage of the French saxophonist Yoch'o Seffer , which included songs from his solo repertoire. But even longer ago I shared an album of his project ZAO, famous for being the first bands worldwide to zeuhl, and incidentally also for its virtuosity.
But when I searched the last direct ZAO was nowhere internet side, so one day I go to a store relatively close and I finally live with this, where the duo Seffer-Cahen not only re-located, but to be reinvented.
My first thought was "sure sounds the same jazz-rock of the late stage, so it must buy", but the French trio I was surprised when I saw that they had changed direction, a new musical direction that was needed in his career. And then rang this concert took months trying to define a genre that does not exist, because if they sound good here with the genius of improvisation Seffer sax, there's also incorporate some counted tribal percussion and synthesizers with certain environmental purposes.
There are links to the jazzy classical tradition, some key rhythms and some sax and piano melodies, but the experimental factor and effective blend gives them a huge weight that moves away from the cloud. The information is on the Internet about this album is quite limited, and the booklet that I have not understand anything that is written in French. But my guess is that there are two options: either all the material part of new compositions or are scores that never saw the light. I am inclined at first, since this music has little to do with the studio albums.
Although generally recommend this album to more than a proghead jazzhead, I think any unbiased person could enjoy this concert, as can be heard, and most of the time it commands a stunning musical consistency.

2004/Zu and Spaceways Inc/"Radiale"

For those who prefer a more refined free jazz, here we have the collaboration of Zu & Spaceways Inc., and its ranks is none other than the master of modern free, Ken Vandermark ! Vandermark
The impact of the Italian trio is obvious given the distance from other genres that were visible in the solo albums. It's an album with features such as jamming and rhythms and jazzy melodies more classical tradition. Significantly easier to listen to other albums of Zu, this could be seen as a break from their noisy and destructive studio albums. The preference for slower instrumental developments and friendly, plus a set of interventions melodic sax, Radiale make a piece of easy listening.

Before talking about this album, I want to say it's a relief to know that on this blog I am destined to be alone, Ponch friend is back! And this means that the jazz-private material will be enriched by what you both can share.
But let the record, this is a live feed of Italian trio Zu , same as I published here a few hours.
recording in question, in my own words, is the perfect soundtrack to destroy objects, because of the war of music. From the standpoint of jazz, this should already be illegal, first to bring the genre to concentrate on the most dangerous areas of hardcore and the river and then by generating rhythms with sharp shattering speeds saxophones and electric bass equally overwhelming. Seriously each track of this concert is a bit disconcerting, aggressive music and full of rage that will destroy everything in its power. Zu

Exercise Bike Crank Removal

2008/Rodrigo y Gabriela/"Live In Japan"

There are stories of musicians early in their careers, in your country home, do not have the recognition they deserve. Familiar examples are Beatles or Led Zeppelin , who outside his native England were better received, to then return with honor.
Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero are another example of how this happens, even in Mexico, continue to be overlooked by not interpreting a genre as "popular."
Rod and Gab (as they are known) began his career in Mexico in a band called Thrash Metal Acid Earth. Since this genre is not very "popular" in this country (Mexico), the duo decided to try his luck in Europe, moving to Dublin, Ireland, a country in which they were made of followers. Such has been the success of RyG , whose album, Rodrigo y Gabriela , became the first in the Irish charts, overtaking the very Arctic Monkeys (?) In their own country.
Live In Japan, as we have to imagine, is an album where guitarists Japan to regale viewers this concert they perform their own songs and others ( Paul Desmond, Metallica, Led Zeppelin ) reminding us, a little what they did long ago a very young Di Meola, McLaughlin and De Lucia ( Friday Night In San Francisco ).
Very good mix of jazz, Latin music, Flamenco and (who else?) Thrash Metal.
